Club Foundation
The Early Beginnings in Dhahran
Dhahran Field Hockey Association was established by a passionate group of Aramco expatriates and local players seeking to build a vibrant hockey community in the Eastern Province.
First Inter-City Derby
Expanding Beyond Dhahran
The club hosted its inaugural inter-city tournament against Khobar and Dammam clubs, establishing field hockey as a premier competitive sport in Saudi Arabia.
Aramco Field Upgrade
Dedicated Turf Grounds
Secured dedicated practice grounds and floodlit turf facilities in Dhahran, enabling year-round evening training sessions and regular weekend league matches.
Regional Championship Title
First Eastern Province Senior Trophy
After years of competitive growth, the club secured its first Eastern Province Senior Championship title, establishing Dhahran as a top-tier powerhouse.
Invitational Cup Launch
Hosting GCC Teams
Launched the annual Dhahran Hockey Invitational Cup, drawing top hockey clubs from across Saudi Arabia and the neighboring Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries.
Youth & Women Squad Expansion
Building an Inclusive Legacy
Launched dedicated Youth Development programs and expanded the Women’s Field Hockey division, welcoming athletes of all skill levels across the Dhahran community.
Multi-Squad League Format
4 Squad Competitive System
Formed four internal competitive squads (DH Dhahran, HC Jabels, HC Jabel Blues, and HC Hills) to structure high-intensity seasonal league play and knockout cups.
Modern Era & 120+ Players
Premier Saudi Hockey Hub
Today, Dhahran Hockey features over 120 active players across 4 competitive squads, hosting weekly leagues, youth clinics, and major regional tournaments.
